This is what makes us different!

WaOSaFe™

This is the difference! WaOSaFe™

  • Before touching with your hands, notice it with your eyes.

The product's arrow section moves according to the loosening of the nut. By shifting out of the judgment area, defects can be identified at a glance. It supports inspection work quickly and reliably.

  • Eliminating the stress of installation.

A lighter and more secure fit achieved by reviewing the press-fit design. Reduces the occurrence of ‘tilting’ allowing anyone to easily attach it. Features a universal design shape that prevents incorrect orientation.

  • Safety + beauty, compromising on neither.

Naturally fits with a concentric circle-based shape. Color options are available to suit your preference.

  • A mechanism that meets both zero derailment and long lifespan.

By covering the entire nut, the gap between the nut and the collar is protected. The top has an open shape, so if the bolt breaks, the bolt will protrude, allowing the breakage of the bolt to be confirmed through the opening. Rust can be checked by the occurrence of rust stains.

Why do we need it?

NUTINDICATOR

Why is a nut-indicator necessary now?

  • A major issue the logistics industry will face from 2024 onward is the worsening shortage of labor.

A decline in per capita driving distance is raising concerns about broader impacts, including reduced revenue for logistics companies, lower income for drivers, and rising freight costs for shippers.
This impact extends to the stability of overall logistics, raising concerns about risks spreading throughout society, such as supply chain stagnation and delivery delays.

  • In recent years, there has been an increasing trend in large vehicle wheel detachment accidents. Many of these detachments could likely have been prevented by performing a ‘tightening torque check’.

According to a survey by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, many accidents could likely have been prevented if inspections before and after driving, regular torque checks, cleaning, and lubrication had not been neglected. Thorough daily inspections are essential for ensuring safety and preventing accidents.

  • In the future, visual inspection support will be essential even for inexperienced drivers.

In recent years, against the backdrop of an aging driver population and labor shortages, the proportion of inexperienced drivers and foreign drivers has been increasing. On-site, there is a variation in maintenance knowledge, and inspections that rely on traditional ‘intuition’ and ‘experience’ are no longer sufficient. It should be immediately understandable to anyone at a glance. That is the standard for safety inspections of the future.

Increase in accidents, busyness at the worksite, and variations in knowledge. Now more than ever, 'visual safety management' is needed to address these three realities.

WaOSaFe™

WaOSaFe™ Product Information

Nifco's wheel nut indicator ‘WaOSaFe™’ is a product that allows for easy detection of loose wheel nuts on large trucks and buses. The attached arrow moves, and when it goes out of the designated assessment area, looseness can be confirmed at a glance. This enables quick and accurate inspections without relying on experience. Installation is easy and requires little force, and the design prevents incorrect orientation, improving work efficiency. The concentric circle design blends with the wheel, maintaining its appearance. Additionally, the nut-covering shape helps prevent water and mud intrusion while allowing bolt rust to be checked through the opening, setting a new standard for everyday inspections that combines safety and durability.
